Recreating a User's Visio Profile
This is a complete removal and refresh of some-one's Visio user-specific settings, and could be tried if the more targeted solution above doesn't work.
IMPORTANT:
It is advised that you seek help from your IT department if you are not familiar with working directly with the registry;
mistakes can be catastrophic to the working of your PC.
Log on to the PC as the user with the problem, and ensure that the user is able to edit the registry.
Administrator rights may be required to run the registry editor.
- Ensure that Visio and Process Navigator are closed.
- Run the Windows registry editor: Start > Run or click in the Search; type regedit and click OK.
- Navigate to: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\Version Number
where Version Number:
14.0 - Visio 2010
15.0 - Visio 2013
16.0 - Visio 2016
- Select the 'Visio' key (a key uses the folder icon) under the above, and delete it. This should set the registry to a state as it would have been prior to this particular user having run Visio.
- Run Visio, and configure as described in Setting Up Visio For Process Navigator.
- Try running Process Navigator.
